A highly anticipated debate between two members of Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth and two physicists is scheduled for August 21, 2010. The debate will air on the popular late night talk show Coast to Coast AM with host Ian Punnett between 10pm – 2am Pacific time.
Richard Gage, AIA, founder of Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth and an architect for over twenty years, will be joined by Danish scientist, Niels Harrit, Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen—a chemist and university teacher with expertise in organic chemistry, photochemistry, fluorescence, and nanotechnology.
Harrit co-authored a peer-reviewed paper along with Dr. Steven Jones and several others, documenting their discovery of a highly energetic, nano-engineered form of thermite in World Trade Center dust. In its ordinary form, thermite, a mixture of iron oxide and aluminum powder, burns extremely hot –around 4500° F. – more than hot enough to melt iron, which melts at around 2700° F. Gage and Harrit will present evidence that the three World Trade Center skyscrapers were explosively demolished on September 11, 2001.
“We hope that this milestone debate at this prestigious venue will give us an opportunity to lay out the explosive evidence that has alarmed over 1,000 technical and building professionals into demanding a new WTC investigation,” Gage told The Examiner.
Challenging Gage and Harrit’s contention that explosives were responsible for the buildings’ destruction will be mathematician and physicist Dave Thomas from a group called New Mexicans for Science and Reason (NMSR).
Thomas, a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, publisher of Skeptical Inquirer magazine, will be joined by his associate, industrial physicist Kim Johnson, also on the Board of NMSR and past president of the New Mexico Academy of Science.
Almost from the beginning, there have been doubts about the government’s version of events regarding the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. And those doubts have only grown as independent research has deconstructed the official story.
Rather than discuss all the misinformation put forth by the government and the mainstream media, this article will cover the main evidence that contradicts the official version of what happened in New York on 9/11.
In particular it will focus on what really brought down the World Trade Center buildings.
As most people are aware, the US government and NIST (The National Institute of Standards and Technology) claim that it was the impact of the hijacked airliners hitting the buildings along with fire that brought down the World Trade Center buildings on 9/11. 1) fire alone has never brought down a steel framed building either before or since 9/11;
2) three steel frame skyscrapers came down on 9/11 even though only two of them were hit by airplanes;
3) police, fire, and other eyewitnesses reported explosions in the basements of the WTC prior to the planes hitting the buildings as well afterwards.
The wealth of forensic, seismic, and eyewitness evidence put forth in the years subsequent to 9/11 totally disproves the government’s version of events and confirms that explosives were used to bring down the WTC buildings. Since it would have taken months of planning and preparation to wire the buildings for demolition, we can rule out foreign terrorists and instead the focus needs to be on the enemy within.
Forensic Evidence
NIST and the government claimed that the jet fuel combined with the impact of the airplanes hitting the buildings brought them down. However the maximum temperature that jet fuel – which is mainly kerosene – can burn is 1472 degrees Fahrenheit and steel doesn’t melt until close to 2795 degrees. Steel is also a good conductor of heat and the steel on the floors where the planes impacted would have cooled once the jet fuel was used up which was within the first fifteen minutes of impact. Even the burning of the office contents would not have been hot enough to melt the steel in the buildings since it would burn at a temperature even lower than the jet fuel. The impact of the planes hitting the buildings would not have seriously damaged them either because they had been designed to withstand just such an event. Frank A. DeMartini, Manager of WTC Construction and Project Management, stated that the WTC towers were specifically designed to take multiple hits from airliners and not collapse. Indeed when the planes first hit, the buildings swayed slightly and then righted themselves – exactly as they had been designed to do. NIST maintains that the impact of the airliner crashes and resulting fires caused the steel girders to weaken to the point that the floors pancaked. But there were no pancaked floors in the rubble. Nor were any bodies found in the rubble which would be expected if the floors had collapsed with people trapped inside. Instead the concrete in the buildings, along with the bodies of the victims and office furniture, were pulverized into small fragments and dust. The identities of many of the victims could not be confirmed because not even small pieces of their bodies could be found in the rubble.
A further point is that even if the floors of the WTC had pancaked, what would have been left behind would have been the central core of each building. At the center of WTC Buildings 1 and 2 were 47 steel columns along with 240 perimeter steel beams. A total of 287 steel columns in all. These core columns measured 52 by 22 inches and were five inches thick at the base. Below is a picture of one of the towers under construction. However according to NIST, instead of remaining intact, these massive columns spanning 110 floors all collapsed into neatly cut pieces.
Examine the cut beam in the picture below and the angle of the cut. How does fire sever a five inch thick steel beam at an angle?
You can also see that the beam is melted at the lower end of the cut. How can an office fire and jet fuel melt steel beams that are almost a thousand feet below where the fire started?
Tons of steel from the WTC were also ejected hundreds of feet laterally. Some pieces were ejected with such force that they ended up implanted in adjoining buildings. In one case a 600,000 pound piece of steel – twice the weight of a Boeing airliner – was thrown 400 feet into a building on Vesey Street. How can fire eject tons of material laterally? The answer is, it can’t.
Besides being cut, some of the steel girders were actually bent as in the example below. It would take thousands of degrees to bend a steel girder like this. An office fire could not have weakened a steel beam this size, much less bend it in half.
Tons of molten steel were also found at the base of the WTC buildings. NIST officials deny the existence of the molten steel but firefighters and other eyewitnesses working at the WTC reported streams of molten steel flowing “like you were in a foundry”. It takes temperatures approaching 5,000 degrees to melt steel and neither jet fuel nor an office fire comes even close to generating that high a temperature.
Indeed the heat from the rubble of the WTC was so intense that it took months of spraying it with water to finally put out the fires. Rescue workers found their rubber boots melting from the heat in the basements of the WTC buildings.
So what could have been the real cause of the collapse of the three WTC buildings? Forensic evidence, the laws of physics, seismic evidence, and eyewitness accounts all confirm that military grade explosives were used to bring down the World Trade Center buildings.
The Tell Tale Chips
Independent researchers examined dust samples produced by the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings. These dust samples contained distinctive red/gray chips. Optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (XEDS), and differential scanning calorimetry were used to determine the composition of these chips. The red portion of the chips was found to be an unreacted thermitic material and highly explosive.

Niels H. Harrit, an Associate Professor of the University of Copenhagen’s Chemistry Department and an expert in nano-chemistry, was the lead author of the study. Eight other researchers contributed to the study including Dr. Steven Jones, (Ph.D in Physics), Dr. Jeffrey Farrer ( Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering), Kevin R. Ryan (Chemist and former Laboratory Manager for Underwriters Laboratories), Frank M. Legge (Ph.D in Chemistry), and others.

Thermite is not normally an explosive material. Instead it is highly reactive substance that produces bursts of high temperatures for short periods. It has civilian and military applications including use in weapons and in bringing down buildings in controlled demolitions. However the material found in the WTC dust was not just ordinary thermite but nanothermite.
Nanothermite particles are manufactured at the atomic scale and are far more reactive and explosive that ordinary thermite. Production of these materials is very limited because of the technology needed to create them. Two places in the United States where they are produced are Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico and at the Indian Head Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Maryland. Researchers estimate that several tons of explosives, including nanothermites, had to have been planted in the three world trade center buildings based on the proportional amount of nanothermites found in the dust samples that were tested.
Aside from nanothermites, the dust samples also contained microscopic iron-rich droplets. Molten iron is one of the two principal products of the thermite reaction. The molten iron condenses and solidifies into particles whose size is a function of the thermite’s reaction rate. Nanothermites produce tiny droplets that become very nearly spherical due to surface tension. These droplets are further proof of the use of thermites to bring down the WTC buildings.
Another curious fact was that some of the steel recovered from WTC Building 7 – the third building to fall on 9/11 and the one not hit by a plane – was so thin and full of holes that it resembled Swiss cheese. This anomaly is discussed in an article by Dr. David Ray Griffin. An excerpt is below:
Within a few months of 9/11, three professors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) had issued a report about a piece of steel from Building 7 that was described in a New York Times story by James Glanz and Eric Lipton as “[p]erhaps the deepest mystery uncovered in the investigation.”13 Part of the mystery was the fact that the steel was “extremely thin,” indicating that the steel had “melted away,” even though “no fire in any of the buildings was believed to be hot enough to melt steel outright.” Another part of the mystery was that atoms in the steel seemed to have combined with sulfur “to form compounds that melt at lower temperatures,” but as to the source of the sulfur, “no one knows.”[14] Describing this mysterious piece of steel more fully, an article entitled “The ‘Deep Mystery’ of Melted Steel” in WPI’s magazine, said: “[S]teel – which has a melting point of 2,800 degrees Fahrenheit – may weaken and bend, but does not melt during an ordinary office fire. Yet metallurgical studies . . . reveal that . . . a eutectic reaction . . . caus[ed] intergranular melting capable of turning a solid steel girder into Swiss cheese . . .. A one-inch column has been reduced to half-inch thickness. Its edges – which are curled like a paper scroll – have been thinned to almost razor sharpness. Gaping holes – some larger than a silver dollar – let light shine through a formerly solid steel flange. This Swiss cheese appearance shocked all of the fire-wise professors, who expected to see distortion and bending – but not holes. A eutectic compound is a mixture [involving sulfur]. . . . ‘The important questions,” says [one of the professors], ‘are how much sulfur do you need, and where did it come from?’”[15] The thinning and the holes even suggested that the steel had vaporized. Explaining as early as November 2001 why fire could not account for this mysterious steel, Glanz paraphrased one of the three WPI professors, Jonathan Barnett, as saying that it “appear[ed] to have been partly evaporated in extraordinarily high temperatures.”[16]
As with the destruction of WTC Buildings One and Two, the vaporized steel infused with sulfur is a clear indication that something other than fire brought down Building 7 Since it can take months to carry out the planned demolition of a building and all three buildings had tight security – especially Building 7 – access to carry out such an operation could not have been gained by outside parties. Instead access had to have been given by the leaseholders of the buildings and government officials. This is especially true in the case of Building 7 because it housed government agencies such as the CIA, the US Secret Service, the New York City Office of Emergency Management, the Department of Defense, and the IRS – among other tenants.

Violating the Laws of Physics
The collapse of the three skyscrapers in New York was a unique event in respect to how many laws of physics were violated on that one day.
For example, all three skyscrapers fell quickly into their own footprint indicating that there was little or no resistance as each floor progressively collapsed. That would only be possible if the underlying floors were being destroyed ahead of the collapse of the upper floors. Keep in mind that World Trade Center Towers one and two were both 110 stories high and Building seven was 47 stories high. NIST admitted that WTC Building One came down in 11 seconds. The 9/11 Commission said WTC Building Two came down in 10 seconds. Building Seven was clocked as coming down in less than seven seconds.
All of these times are close to freefall speed and violate the laws of conservation of energy and momentum. Gravitational energy alone could not have supplied enough energy for the top floors to fall through the greatest path of resistance, cut through 47 to 110 floors of steel beams, pulverize tons of concrete, eject tons of material laterally, vaporize steel in the case of Building Seven, and also leave tons of molten metal in the wake of the collapse. There simply was not enough energy from the jet fuel and office fire to accomplish this unless the laws of physics were suspended for this event. The first law of thermodynamics was also violated on 9/11. Government officials maintained that the steel became so overheated that it weakened and collapsed. But the fires in the buildings never became hotter than 1,500 degrees and steel is an excellent conductor of heat which means that once the fuel burned off, the steel cooled. Even the office fires were not enough to weaken much less cut the steel into pieces and melt it into puddles. That would have taken fires of close to 5,000 degrees. Yet NIST and the government would have us believe that the laws of physics don’t apply when it comes to 9/11.

Seismic Evidence
Seismic signals were recorded on 9/11 during the period when the WTC towers 1 and 2 were struck and collapsed, as well as during the collapse of Building 7. According to Dr. André Rousseau, former researcher in geophysics at CNRS and specialist in sound waves (1), these signals only registered because explosives were used, not because of the impact of the planes or debris hitting the ground. Below is the summary of his research:
At the moment of the impact by the planes on the Twin Towers and their collapse, as well as that of WTC7, seismic waves were generated. To the degree that (1) seismic waves are only created by brief impulses, and (2) that low frequencies are associated with an energy (magnitude) that is comparable to a seismic event, these waves undeniably have an explosive origin. Even if the planes’ impact and the fall of the debris from the Towers onto the ground could have generated seismic waves, their magnitude was insufficient to be recorded 34 km away, and they should have been similar. However, the composition and magnitude of the seismic signals show significant differences, above all in their propagation speed, even though their paths were identical under identical conditions. This last difference being physically unexplainable in the official version, we must put into question the calculation of the speeds effectuated from the origin shown on the video images.
We can only conclude that in reality, the (explosive) source was manually detonated, thus accounting for the variable shift for each origin in relation to the videos. The composition of the waves is revealing both in terms of the location of the source and the magnitude of the energy transmitted to the ground. The subterranean origin of the waves emitted when WTC1 collapsed is attested by the presence of the P and S volume waves along with the Rayleigh surface waves, which are present in all five explosions. The placement of the source of the four other explosions is subaerial, attested by the unique presence of Rayleigh waves. The aerial explosions visible on the videos of the upper floors of the Twin Towers do not produce seismic waves 34 km from the source. There is a factor of ten between the power of the explosions at the time of the impacts on the twin Towers (as well as at the time of the collapse of WTC7) and the strength of those more powerful ones at the time of their collapse, the subterranean explosion under WTC1 being the one that transmitted the most energy to the ground. Note as well that the degree to which the surface waves disperse (their speed depends upon their frequency), the duration of the recorded signal is not representative of the duration of the signal at the source. Finally, the controlled demolition of the three towers, suggested by the visual and audio testimony, as well as by observations of their collapse, is thus demonstrated by the analysis of the seismic waves emitted at the moments of the plane impacts and at the moments of the collapse.

Eyewitness Accounts
Initial media reports and eyewitness accounts on 9/11 all established that explosives were present in the WTC buildings. Explosives that went off before and after the planes hit the buildings. However these reports were quickly replaced by the ‘official story’ and after that was issued anyone who questioned the official story was dismissed as a ‘conspiracy theorist’.
Below are media clips from reporters that day. Many reported hearing and experiencing explosions in the WTC towers. Journalist Dan Rather commented that the way the buildings came down reminded him of the deliberate destruction of old buildings. That comment was never heard again on the mainstream news.
Following the events of 9/11, the New York Fire Department made the decision to interview firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians about their experiences. Over 500 people were interviewed. However those oral histories were not released until the New York Times sued the City. In August of 2005, over 12,000 pages of oral histories and radio transmissions were released. Below are video clips of some of this oral history. The New York Times published all of the accounts and they are available at the last link. What these accounts prove is that the fires in the buildings were relatively small and that multiple eyewitnesses heard and experienced explosions in the WTC buildings.
Aside from the emergency workers and journalists, two other witnesses are particularly important in contradicting the official narrative about 9/11. William Rodriguez and Anthony Saltalamacia both worked in WTC 1 and were in the building on the morning of 9/11. In the video interviews below, both attest to the fact that bombs exploded in the basement prior to the plane hitting the building. Rodriguez helped rescue hundreds of people that morning and only barely escaped death himself by hiding under a vehicle as the building collapsed. He was later proclaimed a hero and even encouraged to run for public office until he questioned the events of 9/11. After that he became persona non grata.
Barry Jennings was another important witness. He worked as an emergency coordinator for the New York Housing Authority. On 9/11 he made his way to WTC Building 7 which was the headquarters for the New York Office of Emergency Management. This was after the first tower had been struck by a plane. He was inside WTC 7 when the second plane struck. While in the building, Jennings heard and experienced multiple explosions. When firefighters and police finally rescued him later that day, they made their way to the lobby which by then was littered with debris and dead bodies. Yet the media and the government would have us believe that WTC 7 came down due to a few isolated fires at 5:30 that evening. An interview of Mr. Jennings is in the video clip below.
Summary
This article is by no means a complete summary of all the evidence that contradicts the government’s version of what happened in New York on 9/11. However there is now enough forensic, seismic, and eyewitness evidence to establish without a doubt that the official account is a complete fabrication.
From the beginning the 9/11 attack violated common sense. With time and additional research it has been revealed to be nothing more than a cheap, venal, and stupid trick that depended on shock, a blood sacrifice, and the gullibility of the American public to engineer.
It is also apparent that those who carried out the 9/11 attacks are within the US government itself with the assistance of operatives from other countries. Otherwise the true perpetrators would have been investigated and brought to justice long ago and the mainstream media would have reported what ordinary citizens have uncovered over the past nine years. For every piece of evidence and analysis that contradicts the official story has come from people who at great personal sacrifice and risk, have sought the truth for themselves. Taking Patrick Henry’s statement to heart, they decided that:
“We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth… For my part, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst; and to provide for it.”

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Sept. 26 (UPI) — The retired Pakistani general who is closest to the Taliban and Osama bin Laden contends the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington were the work of renegade U.S. Air Force elements working with the Israelis. Gen. Hamid Gul led Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence during the war against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. Gul serves as an adviser to Pakistan’s extremist religious political parties, which oppose their government’s decision to support the United States in any action against Afghanistan’s Taliban regime. Gul contends bin Laden had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, saying instead that they were the work of the Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service — a version of events that has been endorsed by Islamic fundamentalist clerics and is widely accepted by Muslims throughout the Arab world.
Here is the transcript of the exclusive interview Gul gave to Arnaud de Borchgrave, United Press International editor at large:
De Borchgrave: So who did Black Sept. 11?
Gul: Mossad and its accomplices. The U.S. spends $40 billion a year on its 11 intelligence agencies. That’s $400 billion in 10 years. Yet the Bush Administration says it was taken by surprise. I don’t believe it. Within 10 minutes of the second twin tower being hit in the World Trade Center … CNN said Osama bin Laden had done it. That was a planned piece of disinformation by the real perpetrators. It created an instant mindset and put public opinion into a trance, which prevented even intelligent people from thinking for themselves.
Q: So you’re already convinced bin Laden didn’t do it?
A: I know bin Laden and his associates. I’ve been with them here, in Europe and the Middle East. They are graduates of the best universities and are highly intelligent with impressive degrees and speak impeccable English. These are people who have rediscovered fundamental Islamic values. Many come from the Gulf countries where ruling royal families have generated hatred by the way they flout divine law, wasting billions on gratifying their whims, jetting around in large private jets by themselves, and sailing the Mediterranean in big private boats for weeks on end. Osama’s best recruits come from feudal areas that are U.S. protectorates and where millions of poor people are seeking human dignity. I have even visited a Christian convent school in Murree, 60 miles from here, where my 13-year-old daughter is studying. The young girls there have told me Osama is their hero. Osama’s followers identify with Mujahideen freedom fighters wherever they are defending Islam and its values.
Q: So what makes you think Osama wasn’t behind Sept. 11?
A: From a cave inside a mountain or a peasant’s hovel? Let’s be serious. Osama inspires countless millions by standing up for Islam against American and Israeli imperialism. He doesn’t have the means for such a sophisticated operation.
Q: Why Mossad?
A: Mossad and its American associates are the obvious culprits. Who benefits from the crime? The attacks against the twin towers started at 8:45 a.m. and four flights are diverted from their assigned air space and no air traffic controller sounds the alarm. And no Air Force jets scramble until 10 a.m. That also smacks of a small scale Air Force rebellion, a coup against the Pentagon perhaps? Radars are jammed, transponders fail. No IFF — friend or foe identification — challenge. In Pakistan, if there is no response to IFF, jets are instantly scrambled and the aircraft is shot down with no further questions asked. This was clearly an inside job. Bush was afraid and rushed to the shelter of a nuclear bunker. He clearly feared a nuclear situation. Who could that have been? Will that also be hushed up in the investigation, like the Warren report after the Kennedy assassination?
Q: At this point, someone might be asking what you’ve been smoking. What is Israel’s interest in such a monstrous plot, which, of course, no one believes except Islamist extremists who concocted this piece of disinformation in the first place, presumably to detract from the real culprits?
A: Jews never agreed to Bush 41 (George H.W. Bush, the 41st president) or 43 (his son George W. Bush, the 43rd president). They made sure Bush senior didn’t get a second term. His land-for-peace pressure in Palestine didn’t suit Israel. They were also against the young Bush because he was considered too close to oil interests and the Gulf countries. Bush senior and Jim Baker had raised $150 million for Bush junior, much of it from Mideast sources or their American go-betweens. Bush 41 and Baker, as private citizens, had also facilitated the new strategic relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran. I have this from sources in both countries. So clearly the prospect of a Bush 43 was a potential danger to Israel.
Jews were stunned by the way Bush stole the election in Florida. They had put big money on Al Gore. Israel has given its imperialist guardian parent opportunities to turn disaster into a pretext for imposing an all-encompassing military, political and economic agenda to further the cause of global capitalism. While Colin Powell is cautious and others are reckless and want to make up for their failure to defeat Saddam Hussein in the Gulf War 10 years ago, the global agenda is the same.
Israel knows it has a short shelf-life before it is overwhelmed by demographics. It is a state that was born in terrorism that terrorized Palestinians into the exile of refugee camps, where they have now subsisted in squalid refugee camps, and is now very much afraid of Pakistan’s nuclear capability.
Israel has now handed the Bush family the opportunity it has been waiting for to consolidate America’s imperial grip on the Gulf and acquire control of the Caspian basin by extending its military presence in Central Asia. Bush conveniently overlooks — or is not told — the fact that Islamic fundamentalists got their big boost in the modern age as CIA assets in the covert campaign I was also involved with to force the Soviets out of Afghanistan. Bush senior was vice president during that entire campaign. And no sooner did he become president on Jan. 20, 1989, than he summoned an inter-agency intelligence meeting and issued an order, among several others, to clip the wings of ISI (Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence) that had been coordinating the entire operation in Afghanistan. I know this firsthand as I was DGISI at the time (director general, ISI).
As the founder of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, I would observe that our members, building on prior research by earlier students of 9/11, have established more than a dozen disproofs of the official government account, the truth of any one of which is enough to show that the government’s account–in one or another of its guises–cannot possibly be correct.
Overview of New 9/11 Research
1.The impact of planes cannot have caused enough damage to bring the buildings down, since the buildings were designed to withstand them (as Frank DeMartini, the project manager, has observed), the planes alleged to have hit were similar to those they were designed to withstand, and the buildings continued to stand after those impacts with negligible effects.
2.The melting point of steel at 2,800 degrees F is about 1,000 degrees higher than the maximum burning temperature of jet-fuel-based fires, which do not exceed 1,800 degrees under optimal conditions; but the NIST examined 236 samples of steel and found that 233 had not been exposed to temperatures above 500 degrees F and the others not above 1200.
3.Underwriters Laboratory certified the steel in the buildings up to 2,000 degrees F for three or four hours without any significant effects, where these fires burned neither long enough or hot enough—at an average temperature of about 500 degrees for about one hour in the South Tower and one and a half in the North—to weaken, much less melt.
4.If the steel had melted or weakened, then the affected floors would have displayed completely different behavior, with some degree of asymmetrical sagging and tilting, which would have been gradual and slow, not the complete, abrupt and total demolition that was observed. Which means the NIST cannot even explain the initiation of any “collapse” sequence.
5.William Rodriguez, who was the senior custodian in the North Tower and the last man to leave the building, has reported massive explosions in the sub-basements that effected extensive destruction, including the demolition of a fifty-ton hydraulic press and the ripping of the skin off a fellow worker, where they filled with water that drained the sprinkler system.
6.Rodriguez observed that the explosion occurred prior to reverberations from upper floors, a claim that has now been substantiated in a new study by Craig Furlong and Gordon Ross, “Seismic Proof: 9/11 Was an Inside Job,” demonstrating that these explosions actually took place as much as 14 and 17 seconds before the presumptive airplane impacts.
7.Heavy-steel-construction buildings like the Twin Towers are not generally capable of “pancake collapse,” which normally occurs only with concrete structures of “lift slab” construction and could not occur in redundant welded-steel buildings, such as the towers, unless every supporting column were removed at the same time, floor by floor, as Charles Pegelow, a structural engineer, has observed.
8.The demolition of the two towers in about 10 seconds apiece is very close to the speed of free fall with only air resistance, which Judy Wood, Ph.D., formerly a professor of mechanical engineering, has observed is an astounding result that would be impossible without extremely powerful sources of energy. If they were collapsing, they would have had to fall through their points of greatest resistance.
9.Indeed, the towers are exploding from the top, not collapsing to the ground, where their floors do not move, a phenomenon Wood has likened to two gigantic trees turning to sawdust from the top down, which, like the pulverization of the buildings, the government’s account cannot possibly explain. There were no pancakes.
10.WTC-7 came down in a classic controlled demolition at 5:20 PM after Larry Silverstein suggested the best thing to do might be to “pull it,” displaying all the characteristics of classic controlled demolitions: a complete, abrupt and total collapse into its own footprint, where the floors are all falling at the same time, yielding a stack of pancakes about 5 floors high.
11.The hit point at the Pentagon was too small to accommodate a 100-ton airliner with a 125-foot wingspan and a tail that stands 44-feet above the ground; the debris was wrong for a Boeing 757: no wings, no fuselage, no seats, no bodies, no luggage, no tail! Not even the engines were recovered, which means that the official account is not true.
12.The Pentagon’s own videotapes do not show a Boeing 757 hitting the building, as even Bill O’Reilly admitted when one was shown on “The O’Reilly Factor”; at 155 feet, the plane was more than twice as long as the 77-foot Pentagon is high and should have been present and easily visible; it was not, which means that the video evidence also contradicts the official account.
13.The aerodynamics of flight would have made the official trajectory—flying at high speed barely above ground level—physically impossible, because a Boeing 757 flying over 500 mph could not have come closer than about 60 feet of the ground, which means that the official account is not even aerodynamically possible.
14.Data from a flight recorder provided to Pilots for 9/11 Truth by the National Transportation Safety Board corresponds to a plane with a different approach and altitude, which would have precluded its hitting lampposts or even the building itself, which means that, if this data corresponds to a Boeing 757, it would have flown over the Pentagon rather than hit it.
15.If Flight 93 crashed into an abandoned mine shaft, as the government maintains, then they should have brought out the heavy equipment and the bright lights and dug and dug, 24/7, in the hope that, by some miracle, someone might possibly have survived. But nothing like that was done. Even the singed trees and shrubs were trimmed, apparently to make it impossible to subject them to chemical analysis.
There is more, especially about the alleged hijackers, including that they were not competent to fly these planes and their names are not on any original, authenticated passenger manifest. Several have turned up alive and well and living in the Middle East. The government has not even produced their tickets as evidence that they were even aboard the aircraft they are alleged to have hijacked. Did Osama call from a cave in Afghanistan and charge them to his MasterCard?
President Bush recently acknowledged that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. The Senate Intelligence Committee has reported that Saddam was not in cahoots with Al Qaeda. And the FBI has acknowledged that it has “no hard evidence” to tie Osama to 9/11. If Saddam did not do it and Osama did not do it, then who is responsible for the death of 3,000 citizens that day?
We believe that it is the highest form of respect to those who died on 9/11 and their survivors to establish how and why they died, which our own government manifestly has not done. With the American media under the thumb of a corrupt administration, we cannot count on the press to perform its investigative function. But we can do our best to expose falsehoods and reveal truths about 9/11.
Michael Sheehan, former Deputy Commissioner for Counter Terrorism NYPD, attempted to bat down a series of questions about 9/11 truth, the Oklahoma City Bombing and even the JFK assassinations. Despite the fact that 6 of 10 commissioners in the 9/11 investigation questioned its processes and conclusions, Sheehan claims that the investigation commissioners were generally satisfied. Max Cleland, who resigned from the 9/11 commission called it a “national scandal.”
Military personnel responsible for defending U.S. airspace had false tracks displayed on their radar screens throughout the entire duration of the 9/11 attacks, as part of the simulation for a training exercise being conducted that day. Technicians at NORAD’s Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS) were still receiving the simulated radar information around the time the third attack, on the Pentagon, took place. Those at NORAD’s operations center in Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado, were still receiving it several minutes after United Airlines Flight 93 apparently crashed in rural Pennsylvania.
No one has investigated why false tracks continued being injected onto NORAD radar screens long after the U.S. military was alerted to the real-world crisis taking place that morning. And yet we surely need to know more about these simulated “inputs” and what effect they had on the military’s ability to respond to the 9/11 attacks.
NEADS TECHNICIANS TOLD TO TURN OFF ‘SIM SWITCHES’
The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 took place in airspace that was the responsibility of NEADS, based in Rome, New York. NEADS was therefore responsible for trying to coordinate the military’s response to the hijackings. And yet, in the middle of it all, at 9:30 a.m. that morning a member of staff on the NEADS operations floor complained about simulated material that was appearing on the NEADS radar screens. He said: “You know what, let’s get rid of this goddamn sim. Turn your sim switches off. Let’s get rid of that crap.” [1] Four minutes later, Technical Sergeant Jeffrey Richmond gave an instruction to the NEADS surveillance technicians, “All surveillance, turn off your sim switches.” (A “sim switch” presumably allows a technician to either display or turn off any simulated material on their radar screen.) [2]
This means that at least some of the radar scopes at NEADS were still displaying simulated information–presumably false tracks–57 minutes after an air traffic controller at the FAA’s Boston Center called there and announced: “We have a problem here. We have a hijacked aircraft headed towards New York.” Forty-eight minutes had passed since the first attack on the World Trade Center occurred, and 31 minutes since the second tower was hit and it became obvious that the U.S. was under attack. It was only three minutes after Richmond gave his instruction, at 9:37 a.m., that the Pentagon was struck in the third successful attack that morning. [3]
Why were NEADS radar scopes displaying simulated information for so long during the real-world crisis, when it appears the technicians could have removed that information at the flick of a switch? Surely any false tracks could have hindered the ability of NEADS personnel to effectively respond to the attacks, so should have been terminated at the first sign of an actual emergency.
And yet this inexplicable behavior was not an exception. A similar thing happened at NORAD’s Cheyenne Mountain Operations Center (CMOC) in Colorado, where it appears that false radar tracks were being displayed for even longer than at NEADS.
NORAD OPERATIONS CENTER ASKS FOR ‘EXERCISE INPUTS’ TO BE STOPPED
At 10:12 a.m., an officer at the NORAD operations center, “Captain Taylor,” called NEADS and spoke to Captain Brian Nagel, the chief of live exercises there. After introducing himself, Taylor said, “What we need you to do right now is to terminate all exercise inputs coming into Cheyenne Mountain.” Nagel gave Taylor an extension number and asked him to call it to get the exercise inputs stopped. Taylor replied, “I’ll do that.” [4] “Inputs,” according to an article in Vanity Fair, are simulated scenarios that are put into play by a simulations team during training exercises. [5]
Taylor was presumably referring specifically to false tracks that had been transmitted onto radar screens at the CMOC, where more than 50 members of the battle staff had been participating in the exercise conducted that morning. [6] Indeed, the Toronto Star reported, “Any simulated information, what’s known as an ‘inject’” was “purged from the screens” at the CMOC in response to the news of the real-world attacks. (However, the report indicated, apparently incorrectly, that the false tracks appearing on CMOC screens were terminated earlier on, at some time shortly before 9:03 a.m., when the second WTC tower was hit.) [7]
If simulated material was still being displayed on CMOC radar screens at 10:12 a.m., this would be astonishing. By that time, 95 minutes had passed since–according to the 9/11 Commission–the military was first alerted to the hijacking of American Airlines Flight 11, and more than an hour had passed since the second plane hit the WTC. Flight 93 had apparently crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania minutes earlier, and so the 9/11 attacks were already over. [8]

The activists who have brought this matter to the people of SLO County who drive by this area realize that the evidence we are attempting to share is difficult to digest. Many simply cannot bear to question 9/11, knowing somewhere deeply in the collective unconscious that the truth may be more than we can stand.
In order to understand the facts regarding the collapse of 3 modern, high rise buildings one has to free ourselves from our preconceived notions.
Of course to investigate 9/11 carries with it the burden of doing something about it. While this is true, no one is asking any one of us to save the world single handedly. It does not take long to get educated (just go to http://www.ae911truth.org/).
The volumes of evidence presented include a peer reviewed paper published by an international team of scientists that positively found unignited thermite in all 4 samples of World Trade Center dust they tested. There has been no coverage of this paper in any of the mainstream press, including the so-called “Left media.”

A further point is that even if the floors of the WTC had pancaked, what would have been left behind would have been the central core of each building. At the center of WTC Buildings 1 and 2 were 47 steel columns along with 240 perimeter steel beams. A total of 287 steel columns in all. These core columns measured 52 by 22 inches and were five inches thick at the base. Below is a picture of one of the towers under construction. However according to NIST, instead of remaining intact, these massive columns spanning 110 floors all collapsed into neatly cut pieces.
