Government agencies, especially national security agencies, have a long history of creating terrorism incidents in order to enhance their power as well as create economic opportunities for agency insiders. Using the old problem-reaction-solution approach, such incidents are usually followed by ever more oppressive legislation and regulations governing the public.

The latest example of this was a sting operation in December in which the FBI furnished a non-working bomb to a man who claimed to be a Muslim convert. He was arrested for allegedly planning to bomb a military recruitment center in Baltimore.

According to news reports, the bomb in the Baltimore case :

“turned out to be a dummy bomb plot put together by FBI agents. Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, was arrested after authorities said he planned the details of the plot, including where to park the van filled with explosives to hurt the most people. Mohamud allegedly believed he was receiving help from a larger ring of jihadists as he communicated with undercover agents.”Authorities Make Arrest in Alleged Plot to Blow Up Military Recruitment Center

This case is similar to November incident in Portland Oregon in which a Somali youth planned to bomb a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony. That dummy bomb also came from the FBI. Christmas Tree Bombing Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

Prior to these incidents there was the underwear bomber case in which a drugged up patsy from Nigeria was allowed on an international flight headed for the US. He was escorted through security by an Indian looking man and allowed to board without a passport after receiving clearance from officials in the US Government. The incident later provided the pretext for installing invasive body scanners at the airports to ‘protect the public.’

Immediately following the incident Michael Chertoff, who was Homeland Security Secretary at the time, went on TV to promote the idea of installing body scanners at the airports. Later Chertoff started a security consulting business with one of his clients being OSI Systems. When President Obama went to India, one of the people accompanying him was the CEO of OSI. Body scanner CEO accompanied Obama to India

In the case of the attacks on 9/11, within 72 hours the FBI had identified all the purported hijackers even though it turned out later that at least seven of them were still alive. It was also questionable how the FBI was able to identify the hijackers given that their names were not on the passenger lists. Later the FBI denied locating the black boxes from the planes that hit the World Trade Center even though volunteers who helped search the rubble claim that at least three of the four boxes were found. 9/11: Missing Black Boxes in World Trade Center Attacks Found by Firefighters, Analyzed by NTSB, Concealed by FBI

Government agencies were also involved in the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. According to sworn testimony from Terry Nichols, Timothy McVeigh told Nichols that he was taking orders from a top FBI official. Nichols pointed the finger at Larry Potts, a Deputy Director in the FBI.

Potts was implicated in two previous FBI fiascos: the Waco and Ruby Ridge incidents. After receiving a letter of censure for his actions at Ruby Ridge, in 1997 Potts retired from the FBI and joined a company called Investigative Group International, Inc. as the Executive Vice President. IGI was a private firm retained by President Clinton to investigate judges, reporters, and other potential enemies of his administration according to a deposition of IGI director Terry Lenzner. Clinton later claimed that it was the bombing at Oklahoma City that got him re-elected.

In one additional example of recent government aided terrorism, there is the 1993 truck bombing of the World Trade Center. In that case the FBI used an informant who was a former Egyptian army officer named Emad Salem.

Salem claimed in court that he informed the FBI of the plot to bomb the towers as early as February 6, 1992. Salem also said that the FBI’s original plan was for Salem to supply the conspirators with a harmless powder instead of actual explosive to build their bomb, but that the FBI chose to use him for other purposes instead.  As a result, the bombing proceeded with six people dying and 1,042 injured. So what is one to make of all this? No doubt there are many good agents working for the FBI and other government agencies. But there appears to be an ongoing effort to use these agencies as a cloak for implementing a secret agenda. Employing moles and corrupt employees, patsies are recruited and incidents are manufactured by the very agencies that are paid to protect Americans. These incidents are then used to advance a political agenda.  One of terrorizing the American people into becoming prisoners in their own country.
